Senior Manager Freight Forwarding

About the role

A full-time Senior Manager Freight Forwarding position based in Singapore, within the East Region. The role centres on building and growing the business by developing sales strategy, winning new customers and managing key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sales development strategy, trade lanes and business plan to meet or exceed sales targets
• Identify and co-develop differentiators with internal stakeholders to grow new customer acquisition and retention, such as IV specializations and solutions
• Build a strong pipeline and execute the opportunity win plan to win new customers
• Establish and manage a network of customer contacts across levels and build value-creating partnerships
• Turn potential opportunities into actionable plans with customers and maintain optimal sales volume, product mix and selling price
• Optimize gross profit and adjust prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand
• Coordinate with other departments to meet customer requirements and write SOPs for each secured customer
• Help resolve service issues with customers and update sales activities in Salesforce for accurate monthly reporting to country and global management

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years in sales positions in logistics or freight forwarding preferred
• Proven experience in MNC business development and strategic account management
• Strong market knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain solutions, preferably with industry vertical specializations and a ready book of business
• Leadership qualities, motivation skills and ability to drive profitable revenue from multiple accounts
• Able to meet clients and participate in events
