Senior Manager, Operation

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Senior Manager, Operation at its manufacturing facility in Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore. The role leads the facility's product value streams, drives Lean transformation and ensures on-time delivery and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the facility's product value streams to meet and exceed customer expectations in quality and on-time delivery.
• Implement Lean production systems aligned with the facility's vision, while complying with regulatory airworthiness and EH&S requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments on customer requirements and material support to keep the workshop running smoothly.
• Meet key performance metrics covering EH&S, quality, financial, productivity, cost and delivery commitments.
• Establish and run production budgets, cost control, labor efficiency, manpower deployment, productivity measurement, equipment capacity utilization, investment and inventory cost plans.
• Coach, counsel and appraise staff, manage disciplinary matters, identify workforce needs and develop talent through technical-skills training and experience-based learning.
• Lead the site's Lean Transformation, drive the CORE culture, support automation and collaborate on Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders on new product introductions and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in aerospace or manufacturing.
• People-management experience leading an operations team of more than 120 employees, including Cell Leaders and Manufacturing Technicians.
• Strong engineering and technical capabilities, proven in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, and strong leadership under pressure.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience leading Lean Transformation and continuous-improvement initiatives and driving the CORE culture.
• Exposure to automation and Industry 4.0, and experience with new product introductions.
• Strong experience in production budgeting, cost control, labor productivity and capacity planning.
