Senior Manager, Systems and Processes

About the role

The Senior Manager Systems and Processes is the person with principal day-to-day responsibility for the efficient use of Reval, the Group's Treasury Management System, across the Group. The role sits within the Group treasury function, which manages central liquidity, hedging, securities services and credit investor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with Ion, the vendor of Reval, on updates and performance issues, and work with Local Business Units (LBUs) so they use the system optimally.
• Manage the transition to ISO2022 and the associated change in messaging format.
• Oversee the transfer of tasks from the Group treasury teams in London and Hong Kong to the new staff in the VCC in Kuala Lumpur.
• Oversee all process controls within the Treasury teams in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, ensuring they are well designed and effective.
• Ensure data received from the LBUs is timely and accurate.
• Lead the bank statement connectivity model and ISO migration, and drive the AC and other LBU (e.g. Africa) Reval implementation.
• Review current Reval processes to improve operating efficiency and LBU engagement, and enhance internal control governance and support to AC operations.
• Develop a standard protocol for the VCC transition and lead other new initiatives such as setting up Bermuda operations.

Required profile

• Degree educated.
• Extensive experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong teamwork and persuasive skills to get LBUs to adopt best practices for Reval.
• A strong controls background to ensure data is complete and accurate.

Required skills

• Detailed understanding of the Reval Treasury management system.
• Detailed knowledge of bank settlement systems, messaging formats and the changes involved in ISO2022.
