Senior Manufacturing Manager

About the role

RTX is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Manager in Singapore. The role leads the operations function so that all production activities meet business objectives and follow environmental, health, safety, quality and business practice standards. It also covers budgeting, equipment investment evaluation, asset and maintenance management and monthly reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control manufacturing, including materials, scheduling machines and people, and coordinate suppliers and customers.
• Lead resource planning, rough-cut and capacity requirements planning, and develop a supply plan that supports customer and business financial needs.
• Implement lean manufacturing, championing one-piece flow, zero defects, continuous flow and Takt, and drive waste elimination and respect for people.
• Coach systematic problem solving using A3, 8D, DMAIC and DIVE methods.
• Manage production execution and control, including expediting production for recovery, and define and improve business processes.
• Drive plant people strategies such as succession planning, performance and development, and build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Build a cohesive operations team, maintain positive employee relations and act as a change agent to share and standardize best practices.
• Supervise manufacturing managers and the Lean Transformation core team, and own operations accounts and manufacturing hours metrics.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Production or Materials Engineering.
• At least 8 years of related experience in the aviation industry, including 5 years of progressive managerial experience.
• Supervisory responsibility and budgetary responsibility for operations accounts.

Required skills

• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt or Lean certification preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Experience in a precision machining production environment.
• Strong background in engineering, operations and quality.
