Senior Manufacturing Manager

About the role

RTX is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Manager in Singapore. The role leads the operations function, sets production budgets, recommends equipment and system investments, and manages assets, maintenance and monthly reporting. It also contributes to strategic planning and decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operations so that production meets business objectives and complies with environmental, health, safety, quality and business standards.
• Develop and implement production systems and processes, monitoring their cost and effectiveness.
• Plan and control manufacturing, including materials, scheduling machines and people, and coordinate suppliers and customers.
• Lead resource planning, rough-cut and capacity planning, and develop a supply plan supporting customer and business needs.
• Drive lean manufacturing implementation (one-piece flow, zero defects, continuous flow, Takt) and coach systematic problem solving (A3, 8D, DMAIC, DIVE).
• Manage production execution and control, including expediting production for recovery, and define and improve business processes.
• Drive plant people strategies such as succession planning, performance and career development.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers, maintain a cohesive operations team and act as a change agent for standardising best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Production or Materials Engineering.
• At least 8 years of related experience in the aviation industry.
• 5 years of demonstrated progressive managerial experience.
• Supervisory responsibility over manufacturing managers and the Lean Transformation core team, and budgetary responsibility for assigned operations accounts.

Required skills

• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt or Lean certification preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Experience in a precision machining production environment.
• Strong background in engineering, operations and quality.
