Senior Operations Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Senior Operations Manager leads a high‑performing manufacturing organization, driving continuous improvement and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met. This role reports to senior leadership and collaborates across functions to align operational objectives with business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality management systems.
• Drive execution of production plans, capacity planning, productivity enhancements, and talent development.
• Manage budgets and capital expenditure, recommending operational investments and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with planning teams on scheduling, inventory management, and material flow.
• Monitor and resolve production issues related to output, quality, yield, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
• Implement initiatives to improve processes, operational performance, and organizational capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing operations experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in highly regulated environments such as medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or precision engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, continuous improvement, and lean principles.
• Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance (ISO, EHS).
