Senior Project Manager – Large‑Scale Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager leads the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale construction projects, ensuring they meet safety, environmental, quality, schedule and cost targets. This senior position provides strategic direction, drives performance and manages key stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of project execution, from inception to handover, meeting SEQDC objectives.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and implement execution strategies, construction methodologies, resource plans and delivery programmes.
• Monitor progress, milestones and contractual obligations, delivering regular performance reports.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and company EHS policies.
• Oversee quality management to meet specifications, standards and client expectations.
• Manage budgets, cost control, procurement, contract administration, variations and commercial risks.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks with corrective actions.
• Engage stakeholders, maintain communication with clients, consultants, authorities and senior management.
• Secure statutory approvals, permits and inspections required for delivery.
• Lead commissioning, handover, defect management and project close‑out.
• Support business development, tender reviews and pre‑construction planning as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building or related discipline.
• 15–20 years of construction industry experience, including at least 10 years in project management and senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record delivering at least two projects with contract values exceeding S$300 million.
• Extensive experience with large‑scale building, mixed‑use, institutional, healthcare, commercial, industrial or infrastructure developments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
