Senior QA Engineer (12 Months)

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is hiring a Senior QA Engineer for a 12-month assignment in Jurong. The role supports the Customer QA Manager and covers customer complaints, audits, CAPA management and quality improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Customer QA Manager so that daily, weekly and monthly KPIs are achieved
• Manage customer complaints with timely and accurate responses, host customer audits and act as the company spokesperson during them
• Chair customer meetings on complaints and lead internal investigations with relevant departments to find root causes
• Establish CAPAs for identified root causes and ensure they are implemented on time
• Analyze complaint and audit trends to drive a right-first-time culture and lead product quality and quality system improvement projects
• Apply A4 and A3 problem-solving methods, coach and mentor plant team members, and support internal and shop-floor audits
• Drive process improvements, cost savings, intermix prevention, contamination control and scrap reduction using LEAN concepts and the Kaizen suggestion system
• Prepare QA reports, train and coach junior engineers, and help maintain the ISO 15378 / ISO 9001 system

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering / Science
• At least 5 years of quality assurance experience in pharmaceutical or medical devices manufacturing
• Knowledge of primary packaging materials manufacturing processes
• Good communication, analytical and independent working skills, and strong learning capacity

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ISO 15378 and ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
• Good knowledge of cGMP requirements and a strong quality mindset
• Strong Excel and report development skills
• Preferred: LEAN Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, certified internal or lead auditor, Quality Engineer or Project Management certification
