Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Singapore. The role leads and manages assigned sections within the QA department, ensuring compliance with civil aviation authority requirements and supporting the quality system and safety management system.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with Civil Aviation Authority requirements
• Run the Quality Audit programme (internal and supplier audits) and coordinate external audits by authorities and customers
• Control and administer the Capability List, Exposition Manuals, Quality Manuals and the Personnel Authorization System
• Lead quality investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
• Collect and analyse quality metrics, and deliver quality-related training such as induction and continuation training
• Review first article inspection, drive PFMEA creation and risk mitigation, and control controlled build process reviews
• Ensure proper execution of forms, tags and authorised release certificates, and proper tagging of parts and components
• Assess subcontractors, external specialist services, and suppliers of new and used components and materials for quality

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in the aviation industry in a quality assurance environment
• Knowledge of basic gas turbine engine and aviation regulatory requirements
• Competence in quality auditing and conducting training
• Ability to lead and manage assigned sections in line with the QA department's responsibilities
