Senior Regional HR Advisor – APAC (Singapore)

About the role

Export Development Canada is seeking a senior HR professional to lead its people practice in Singapore and across the APAC region. As the sole HR presence, you will act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, delivering both day‑to‑day support and strategic solutions that align with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and employees on a full range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management and talent development.
• Provide confidential guidance on complex people issues and ensure compliance with local labour legislation across APAC.
• Develop and implement HR policies and initiatives that promote inclusion, growth and operational excellence.
• Deliver strategic insights and workforce planning recommendations to support EDC’s regional objectives.
• Manage the hybrid work model, coordinating office attendance and remote work arrangements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as an HR Generalist or Advisor, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and broader APAC employment regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to be based in Singapore and travel within the region as needed.
