Senior Research Engineer – Sustainable Building & Energy

About the role

The Energy Research Institute at NTU is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join its Sustainable Built Environment team. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that address building energy modelling, decarbonisation strategies, and the development of green building technologies, including a focus on sustainable indoor farming.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical project management and coordinate with industry partners, external stakeholders and funding agencies.
• Deploy and instrument testbeds for hydronic cooling and other green building solutions.
• Conduct research, analysis and performance assessment of testbed data.
• Prepare and submit project and test reports, and author technical publications.
• Engage stakeholders through presentations, workshops and collaborative meetings.

Required profile

• Familiarity with green building technology, HVAC system study and optimisation, sustainable building design and building energy modelling.
• Knowledge of test instrumentation, PLC programming and cloud‑based/IoT applications.
• Experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement is preferred.
