Senior Research Fellow – Skin Bioengineering

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow to join the Skin Bioengineering and Devices Lab. The role focuses on developing innovative cutaneous delivery systems and skin‑interfacing diagnostic technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of multifunctional, minimally‑invasive skin delivery approaches.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at conferences.
• Initiate and manage collaborations with external partners and stakeholders.
• Oversee laboratory safety, procurement, and overall lab management.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members.

Required profile

• PhD in Bioengineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in biomaterial design, functionalisation, characterisation, fabrication, and biosensing.
• Strong publication record with first‑author papers in high‑impact journals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑driven, highly motivated and well‑organized.
