Senior SCADA System Engineer – Automation & IBMS

About the role

We are seeking a Senior SCADA System Engineer to lead the design and standardisation of enterprise SCADA and IBMS platforms for a well‑established company in Singapore. The role involves shaping architecture, guiding engineering teams and ensuring reliable, scalable automation solutions across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and standardisation of SCADA and IBMS software platforms.
• Develop engineering standards, best‑practice guidelines and deployment procedures.
• Define server sizing, virtual‑machine architecture, memory and storage requirements.
• Design standardised SCADA graphics, HMI templates, navigation structures, alarm philosophies and user‑access frameworks.
• Establish engineering procedures for development, configuration, integration and commissioning.
• Conduct technical reviews, mentor engineering teams and ensure compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot complex SCADA software, database, communication and integration issues.
• Support project teams during design, testing, commissioning and post‑handover phases.
• Produce technical documentation, QA/QC checklists and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with sales and business development to create technical proposals and innovative automation solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements for performance and scalability.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5‑6 years of experience with SCADA, IBMS, BMS or industrial automation systems.
• Proven experience in SCADA software architecture, system integration and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
