Senior Scientist - Immunochemistry (BioA)

About the role

Labcorp is looking for an Immunochemistry Senior Scientist to join its team in Singapore. The role involves developing and validating analytical methods, leading a small group of technical staff and serving as a technical resource for the department.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze biological or chemical samples and develop or validate methods for compounds and components in line with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Document work, maintain study documentation and laboratory records, and perform QC review of data.
• Set up, operate and maintain general laboratory equipment, and report problems or deviations to project and line management.
• Serve as lead chemist on projects, overseeing a small group of technical staff with minimal supervision, and act as a technical resource for troubleshooting, method development, qualification, maintenance and training.
• Develop and validate methods for various analytes in different matrices, organize and evaluate analytical results, and write, revise and review methods, SOPs and parts of reports and protocols.
• Participate in project meetings, suggest improvements to test methods, and take part in process improvement initiatives.
• Train and assist less experienced staff, plan and use resources to complete projects on time, and communicate with internal and external clients, including during client visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• At least 4 years of experience using standard laboratory equipment such as balances, pipettes and centrifuges.
• At least 4 years of experience using and troubleshooting analytical equipment.
• Preferred: 2+ years designing and running chemistry tests and providing initial analysis, and 3+ months using office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proven experience as a technical resource, data evaluator, and project leader; effective communication and time management skills.
