Senior Site Engineer – Construction & Structural Works

About the role

The Senior Site Engineer will lead the execution of both general construction and structural works on‑site, ensuring that all activities adhere to approved designs, quality standards and safety regulations. This role coordinates multidisciplinary teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the master construction programme, identify potential delays and develop catch‑up plans.
• Supervise and coordinate all site activities, guaranteeing compliance with project specifications, structural design, quality and safety requirements.
• Oversee execution of structural works including foundations, rebar, concrete, steel structures, precast elements and temporary works such as falsework, formwork and scaffolding.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site crews, allocating manpower, materials and equipment efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical challenges by liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation – method statements, risk assessments, work instructions, construction sequences and progress reports.
• Conduct structural testing and inspections (load tests, material strength tests, integrity assessments) to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Interact with regulatory authorities (e.g., BCA, LTA, PUB) for inspections, approvals and report submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience, preferably on large‑scale building or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of structural construction methods and safety regulations.
