Job description

About the role

Singapore Airlines is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for its eOps (Day of Ops) team. The engineer delivers and manages the airline's flight planning products through technical excellence, infrastructure engineering and DevOps practices, orchestrating end-to-end delivery from planning through production. The role combines servant leadership, project governance and hands-on DevOps to ship secure, reliable and cost-effective applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate stand-ups, planning, reviews and retrospectives, and enforce DoR/DoD.
  • Drive backlog readiness with Product Owners, including story mapping, sizing and velocity tracking.
  • Remove impediments, manage dependencies across squads and coach Agile/Lean practices.
  • Define scope, milestones, timelines, budget and resourcing, and maintain integrated plans.
  • Run RAID management, change control (CAB/PGSC) and executive status reporting.
  • Coordinate vendors and SOWs, and manage regulatory compliance deliverables and audits.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins/GitHub), promote trunk-based development and quality gates.
  • Manage environments (dev/test/UAT/prod), secrets and configuration, and access control.
  • Handle release engineering: runbooks, blue/green/canary, feature flags and post-release validation.
  • Support security and quality: secrets scanning, policy gates, test automation and performance testing.
  • Provide observability: logging, metrics, tracing, SLOs, alerts, incident response and PIRs, plus cost and capacity optimisation.
  • Orchestrate agentic AI integrations, govern model usage and costs, and define KPIs for AI features.
  • Work with SIA Infrastructure teams, Business Units (Flight Ops, TMM) and external OEMs, and manage vendor relationships and technical interfaces.

Required profile

  • 5-10+ years across Scrum Master/PM and DevOps/ADE roles delivering cloud-native systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the airlines domain (preferred).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and servant-leadership skills.
  • Proven track record delivering complex cloud and on-premises solutions, and experience managing vendor relationships and technical integrations.

Required skills

  • Git and CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab/Azure DevOps)
  • Cloud and containers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Monitoring and observability (CloudWatch) and security tooling (SonarQube)
  • Networking, OS and database fundamentals
  • JIRA/Confluence, familiarity with governance and change processes
  • Familiarity with Gen AI SDLC and GitHub Copilot
  • Certifications: CSM/PSM
