Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack

About the role

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, and its Support Experience team builds the systems powering Grab's support journey for consumers, drivers and merchants, using automation and AI-powered solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack, you will design, build and operate full-stack systems for the Grab Support Tech Family, working on React and TypeScript frontend applications, Golang backend services, APIs, microservices and support workflows that power the Help Centre and related platforms. You will lead technical designs independently, align stakeholders and own production quality through monitoring, incident response and operational excellence. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Golang and Grab's internal platform tooling.
• Lead technical design and implementation for support journeys across Help Centre, support workflows, backend APIs and internal platforms.
• Build scalable, reliable and observable microservices that integrate with downstream systems.
• Develop clean, accessible and maintainable frontend experiences for users, agents and internal support teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, QA/SET and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Own production readiness: monitoring, alerting, dashboards, operational runbooks and release quality.
• Participate in on-call support, incident handling, root cause analysis and prevention work, using Datadog, Kibana, logs, metrics and traces.
• Improve testing practices across unit, integration, UAT and end-to-end layers, and contribute to quality metrics.
• Review code and technical designs, mentor engineers and raise the engineering quality bar.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong full-stack development.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript for production frontends and Golang for backend services, APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, service design, API design, data modelling and reliability trade-offs.
• Experience leading technical design and delivering projects independently from requirements to production rollout.
• Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, logs, metrics and production systems.
• Ability to mentor engineers, give clear code review feedback and manage stakeholders.
