Senior Supervisor, Quality

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences' manufacturing teams create tools, technologies and devices that help patients worldwide. This Senior Supervisor, Quality role supervises employees and quality activities across production areas, ensuring smooth and continuous operations. The position involves performance reviews, improvement projects, scheduling and reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees and quality activities for product and manufacturing processes, conduct performance reviews and resolve performance issues
• Lead complex improvement projects, partner with engineering on investigations and corrective actions, investigate non-conformances and ensure documentation is valid
• Schedule work orders and team performance metrics, monitor output and adjust schedules to meet production targets
• Account for staff productivity and quality metrics, report progress regularly and propose improvements
• May guide and mentor entry-level supervisors, ensure appropriate staffing and training, and document inspection procedures for the assigned product line
• Own the project outcomes of the assigned unit or group of employees and handle all aspects of employee relations, including hire/fire authority in partnership with HR
• Work with the Operation Quality Engineer on GMP, SOP and safety regulations, and oversee personal development plans
• Ensure testing conforms to standards of identity, strength and quality, and solve technical problems by finding root causes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Substantial experience in manufacturing, quality and/or product development engineering, beyond the Supervisor II level
• 4 years of previous related experience with full responsibility for all personnel and employee relations
• Experience leading multi-cultural teams, project management, and working in a medical device industry preferred
• Excellent English and local language skills, and ability to read engineering drawings, bills of materials and operational procedures
