Senior Systems Analyst - Application Support

About the role

Jobline is hiring a Senior Systems Analyst for application support. The role provides 24/7 primary application maintenance support and covers system health monitoring, maintenance, patching and vendor liaison. Shortlisted candidates are offered a 1-year agency contract.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 primary application maintenance support when required.
• Monitor and review system health and performance of business applications, including servers, internal and external interface endpoints and databases.
• Coordinate and take part in regular system maintenance, patching and upgrades, including yearly disaster recovery exercises.
• Liaise with support teams to test and deploy application patches and defect fixes to production according to project methodology and policy.
• Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot bugs, evaluate fixes and deploy them to production.
• Work with business users and other teams, and take part in business contingency activities.
• Manage the setup and configuration of systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 4-5 years of experience developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET and MS SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently.
• Customer-oriented, multi-tasking, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
