Senior Tech Governance Specialist

About the role

Grab is looking for a Senior Tech Governance Specialist to join its Tech Governance team, which maintains governance across Grab Tech's personnel, processes and systems and implements policies and controls to protect company assets. The role reports to the Head of Governance and works with the Tech and Engineering teams and other Governance, Risk and Compliance functions. It is based onsite in the Singapore One North office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Technology Governance Framework, including policies, standards and guidelines.
• Assess technology risks, including AI-specific risks, and define controls to mitigate them.
• Define product specifications for controls and work with Tech teams to enforce them.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of governance controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Integrate AI governance into existing GRC processes and tooling, and use AI-driven tools to automate compliance checks, controls monitoring, policy drafting and evidence collection.
• Act as control owner for technology controls and main audit subject for SOX audits and regulatory inspections.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements and internal policies.
• Collaborate with departments to embed governance best practices in technology projects, and provide guidance and training to staff.
• Act as an internal thought leader on technology trends, AI ethics and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Risk Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in IT governance, risk management or compliance roles.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment and juggle multiple projects and tasks.

Required skills

• IT governance and control frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Managing audits, control reviews, remediation tracking and stakeholder engagement.
