Senior Vice President, Placement

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Vice President, Placement to join its Bowring Marsh team in Singapore. This is a hybrid role, with at least three days per week spent in the office. The role focuses mainly on Property and Casualty (re)insurance programs, supporting the broking strategy and placing new and renewal business across the Southeast Asia and Pacific portfolio. It also involves giving clients marketing and program design advice and driving revenue growth against set targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate placement solutions to meet client needs and lead several territory-specific accounts, helping the Marsh network access Asia (re)insurance market capacity while retaining and growing the wholesale portfolio.
• Work with other placement hubs to deliver placements on time and handle day-to-day policy account servicing with retail offices, global placement hubs and markets.
• Analyse terms received from markets so that the recommended lead terms are in clients' best interests.
• Hold regular meetings with insurers about account participation and pipeline.
• Coordinate with overseas colleagues on international client and cedant meetings and market roadshows.

Required profile

• More than 12 years of experience in an international broking house or insurance company.
• In-depth knowledge of General Property and Casualty reinsurance, including underwriting and/or broking.
• Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent preferred; ANZIIF or ACII is an advantage.
