Senior/Manager (Inpatient Operations)

About the role

JurongHealth Campus, part of the National University Health System (NUHS), is looking for a Senior/Manager (Inpatient Operations) to provide leadership and operational oversight of inpatient operations and patient service functions across the campus. The role covers frontline operational teams, patient service workflows, service recovery, resource deployment and service coordination, and works closely with nursing, clinical, corporate and support service stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inpatient operational support functions such as patient service operations, service coordination and operational command, and resolve issues and escalations daily
• Monitor operational performance indicators and coordinate with facilities, equipment and procurement stakeholders
• Optimise manpower through workforce planning, workload balancing and productivity monitoring, and develop operational teams through training, competency development and role redesign
• Lead workforce transformation, service redesign and digitalisation initiatives, using Lean and continuous improvement methods
• Develop centralised workflows, escalation pathways and service recovery processes, and adopt digital tools and data analytics
• Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to operational teams, and support change management and talent development
• Lead departmental workplans, maintain policies, procedures and risk registers, and support budget planning for CAPEX and OPEX
• Support emergency preparedness, outreach activities and cross-functional projects, and undertake other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer or Division Head

Required profile

• Degree from a recognised institution; MBA/MHA is advantageous
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, service operations or a large service-oriented organisation, managing frontline teams and operational workflows
• Experience in service transformation, workforce redesign, productivity improvement or cross-functional operational projects is advantageous
