Senior/Staff Engineer, Front End Labor Productivity

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Senior/Staff Engineer for Front End Labor Productivity. You will drive measurable outcomes in labor productivity and annualized hour savings by implementing strategies focused on standardization, simplification, automation and generative AI. The goal is to reduce labor hours, improve efficiency, shorten cycle times and improve operating cadence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead year-over-year improvement in Frontend labor productivity (VAM/HC) and govern FE labor productivity programs end to end, standardizing tools, methods and processes across sites.
• Integrate labor initiatives across AI, automation, robotics, DREAM and innovation programs, and track labor hour reduction, VAM/HC and annualized savings with Site's Labor Champions and Finance.
• Maintain the loading-based staffing model and lead Labor SWAT initiatives to close productivity gaps.
• Monitor labor performance metrics, benchmark best practices and share knowledge across sites.
• Manage programs of AI, GenAI, automation and low-code solutions (copilots, digital footprint, workflow automation) and guide functional AI roadmaps.
• Build KPI dashboards and management reports, support workload forecasting and productivity baselining.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
• At least 3+ years of experience in semiconductor operations.
• Strong program management skills (portfolio planning, governance, benefits realization, change management).
• Preferred: experience leading programs with productivity, efficiency or workforce optimization results.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of GenAI concepts and delivery (prompt/workflow design, value and risk evaluation, adoption metrics)
• Automation and low-code tools such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, UiPath, SQL or similar
• KPI dashboards, Power BI and Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
