Senior/Staff Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

About the role

The Senior/Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient women's health clinic. This role combines direct patient care, procedural support, and operational coordination to ensure a safe and efficient clinic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture, collect blood specimens, administer medications and injections, and conduct wound dressing.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, document care in electronic medical records, and promptly escalate abnormalities.
• Assist physicians during consultations and outpatient procedures such as colposcopy, urogynaecology, and hysteroscopy.
• Prepare patients, instruments, and consumables; maintain infection‑prevention standards.
• Provide patient education, coordinate appointments, and facilitate urgent financial counselling referrals.
• Troubleshoot day‑to‑day operational issues, manage clinic resources, and support patient flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support audit preparation, and assist with incident reporting.
• Participate in opening/closing duties, end‑of‑day equipment checks, and cross‑coverage within the Women’s Clinic.
• Engage in departmental meetings, training programmes, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current mandatory certifications.
• Experience in outpatient or women’s health settings.
• Ability to work shifts, including opening and closing duties.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and infection‑control practices.
