Services Engineer - Water Treatment Systems

About the role

Veolia designs, supplies and operates water systems ranging from oil and gas to municipal water, microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. This full-time Services Engineer role in Singapore acts as the company's point of contact for customers, manages client portfolios and leads frontline delivery of demands and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for customers, build relationships and lead frontline handling of demands and deliveries
• Work closely with the Singapore Service Leader, service centre leader and sales/proposal team to deliver work orders and projects and resolve customer issues
• Liaise with procurement and third-party vendors and contractors on quotations, site surveys, orders, deliveries and work execution
• Initiate and implement modification and retrofit projects (value-added projects)
• Manage a team of specialists and subcontractors, giving technical, resource and reporting guidance
• Manage ad-hoc services and small projects, both managerially and hands-on
• Implement and promote EHS and ethics policies, manage service orders in compliance with regulations and maintain a 24/7 call availability for FSR duties, EHS and production emergencies

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, instrument or equivalent engineering with at least 2 years of field service or O&M experience in ultra-pure water, wastewater or process treatment
• Or a diploma in electrical/instrument background with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• At least 3 years of O&M of water treatment systems (RO, EDI, UF, filters, WWTP) or facility operation
• Experience managing a site team of 4-6 people
• Willingness to travel within the territory

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Workspace
• Strong knowledge of water treatment systems: UF, RO and EDI/IX
• Experience with SCADA or HMI control systems
• Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills
