Shift Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron's Singapore site is looking for a high-energy, ambitious Shift Equipment Engineer. The role supports overall operations by developing frameworks for monitoring and improving engineering performance, planning engineering solutions, driving continuous improvement projects on equipment utilization, supporting new tool setup and qualification, and coaching and training other team members.

Key responsibilities

• Improve equipment availability and OEE using equipment FMEA, potential problem analysis, design improvements and other continuous improvement projects
• Plan spare inventory to minimize downtime and manage equipment performance reporting
• Perform engineering evaluations, automate equipment data gathering and assess equipment to reduce yield losses
• Work with manufacturing staff and lead a team of shift technicians to meet output and quality goals
• Set up and qualify new tool setups, coordinate new product runs and run validation testing
• Analyze equipment failures, implement workarounds and fixes, and manage hardware, software and process changes and documentation
• Lead continuous improvement projects, including software to monitor the test production floor, and review business plans for efficiency gains
• Prepare training and certification materials, conduct training, document one-point lessons and provide documented performance management for direct reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels
• Growth mindset and interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts; relevant experience preferred
• Leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
