SME & Corporate Banking Lending Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, results‑driven SME & Corporate Banking Lending Specialist to grow MariBank’s SME and corporate loan portfolio. The role focuses on acquiring new‑to‑bank customers, managing loan applications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new SME loan partnerships through cold calling, referrals, networking, and industry events to meet growth targets.
• Manage end‑to‑end SME loan applications, approvals, and ongoing maintenance while coordinating with the credit risk team.
• Analyze the loan portfolio’s P&L levers, identify cross‑sell opportunities, and optimise utilisation throughout the business lifecycle.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) checks, and onboarding reviews in line with MAS regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with product, operations, risk, and credit teams to improve processes and enhance product offerings based on customer feedback and portfolio data.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in SME loan product sales or as a credit analyst; existing loan broker contacts are a plus.
• Strong understanding of business financial statements and credit fundamentals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion abilities.
