Software Consultant - 12 Months Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Software Consultant to join our team on a 12‑month contract in Singapore. The consultant will design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software applications and backend services that support our fintech and blockchain initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software applications and backend services.
• Develop scalable and reliable system architecture and technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code following engineering standards.
• Participate in technical planning, architecture design and solution evaluation.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise system performance, stability and security.
• Lead or contribute to code reviews and ensure software quality through testing and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation for system design, development, deployment and support.
• Support production systems and resolve critical technical issues when required.
• Evaluate and adopt suitable technologies to improve development efficiency and system capabilities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development or a related technical role.
• Experience in fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency or other technology‑driven industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex technical assignments.
• Good communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, C++ or JavaScript.
• Extensive experience in backend development, APIs, databases, distributed systems and system architecture.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, development methodologies and coding best practices.
• Experience with system performance optimisation, security, scalability and production support.
