Software Engineer (Contract)

About the role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test and maintain scalable software applications and backend services for a fintech‑focused environment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, secure and high‑quality solutions that support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software applications and backend services.
• Build scalable and reliable system architecture and technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, secure and maintainable code following engineering standards.
• Participate in technical planning, architecture design and solution evaluation.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise performance, stability and security.
• Lead or contribute to code reviews and ensure software quality through testing and best practices.
• Collaborate with relevant teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation for design, development, deployment and support.
• Support production systems and resolve critical technical issues when required.
• Evaluate and adopt suitable technologies to improve development efficiency and system capabilities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Experience in fintech, blockchain or cryptocurrency industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex technical assignments.
• Good communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
