Software Engineer Intern – Data Engineering

About the role

Join DRW’s Commodities trading group as a Software Engineer Intern focused on Data Engineering. You’ll build data pipelines that deliver valuable data to traders while experiencing Singapore’s vibrant culture through organized social events.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate reliable Python data pipelines that ingest structured and unstructured data for trading, research and analytics.
• Contribute to complementary engineering initiatives such as data quality, data modelling, databases and Kubernetes.
• Work directly with researchers to understand their needs and develop bespoke data and analysis solutions.
• Help design and evolve both legacy and greenfield systems within a small team of experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, physics, mathematics or a related discipline with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), Pandas and data‑engineering concepts.
• Strong software development skills in Python and a curiosity to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
