Software Engineer - Remote

About the role

We are seeking experienced software engineers to help train and evaluate next‑generation AI systems by tackling real‑world engineering tasks. The role is contract‑based, fully remote, and ideal for developers who can quickly understand unfamiliar codebases, articulate design decisions, and solve backend, full‑stack, systems, or infrastructure challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Work on diverse engineering problems across backend, full‑stack, infrastructure and systems projects.
• Review, debug, improve, and clearly explain code in various technical environments.
• Design or evaluate solutions involving APIs, databases, services, integrations, testing and deployment workflows.
• Identify trade‑offs related to scalability, maintainability, performance, reliability, security and developer experience.
• Document technical reasoning in writing and collaborate with customer teams on reviews and implementation decisions.
• Adapt rapidly to new codebases, frameworks and technical requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in at least one backend or full‑stack environment (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Java, C++, Go or Rust).
• Proven ability to build, maintain or review production‑grade applications, APIs, services or databases.
• Excellent written communication skills for explaining complex engineering decisions.
• Preferably exposure to cybersecurity or SecOps concepts.
