Solutions Architect – Lakebase (Data & AI)

About the role

The Solutions Architect (Lakebase) team executes Databricks’ strategic Product Operating Model, focusing on early‑stage, high‑priority product lines to achieve product‑market fit and rapid revenue growth. Working as part of a global go‑to‑market team, the role partners with account teams to engage clients across multiple business units and verticals, positioning the Lakebase product line and guiding adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to design and execute high‑impact engagement strategies across the territory.
• Act as a trusted advisor and champion, building technical credibility with stakeholders to drive product adoption and vision.
• Enable clients at scale through workshops and customer‑facing collateral that increase technical knowledge and thought leadership.
• Influence the product roadmap by translating field‑derived, data‑driven insights into strategic recommendations for Product and Engineering teams.
• Serve as the tier‑3 escalation point for the most complex technical challenges, ensuring customer success in mission‑critical environments.

Required profile

• 6+ years in a customer‑facing pre‑sales or consulting role influencing technical executives.
• Proven ability to co‑plan large territories with Account Executives and operate in a highly coordinated, cross‑functional environment.
• Experience collaborating with Global System Integrators and third‑party consulting organizations.
• Hands‑on experience building solutions within major public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Undergraduate degree (or higher) in a technical field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
