Solutions Architect (React.js and Node.js)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is looking for a Solutions Architect for its Technology Solutions Office. The role reports to the Associate Delivery Director and turns business and user needs into secure, scalable and maintainable architectures for web and mobile applications, integrations and cloud infrastructure. It also anchors solutioning in presales and guides delivery teams from concept through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for web and mobile systems, covering application, data, integration and infrastructure views.
• Lead presales solutioning: solution concepts, architecture proposals, effort estimation, PoCs and tender responses.
• Define integration architecture across applications, RESTful APIs, back-end databases and cloud platforms.
• Set and enforce architecture principles, coding standards, design patterns and security best practices.
• Review designs and implementations and mentor tech leads and developers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, security and public-sector requirements such as IM8 and PDPA.
• Evaluate technologies and build reusable reference architectures and accelerators.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including 3+ years as a solution or technical architect for large-scale web/mobile systems, leading technical teams.
• Singapore public-sector project experience, presales solutioning and tender-response experience.
• Exposure to AI-enabled and agentic AI solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation and consultative skills, plus technical leadership and mentoring.

Required skills

• Web/mobile stacks such as ReactJS, React Native and Node.js, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Cloud architecture on AWS, Azure and/or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
• Data architecture with PostgreSQL and MSSQL, and application and infrastructure security.
• Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, CISSP or equivalent.
