Specification Sales Manager (Building Materials)

About the role

A global Japanese manufacturer of decorative building materials, automotive interior films and other products is hiring a Specification Sales Manager in Central, Singapore. The role focuses on new business development with architects, interior designers and developers, and is advertised as a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with architects, interior designers and developers to identify and secure new business opportunities related to building materials
• Use existing relationships and industry knowledge to influence and provide specifications for construction projects
• Develop and maintain strong networks within the architectural and design community in Southeast Asia and Taiwan
• Work to ensure products are specified in key upcoming construction projects
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide product-related solutions to clients

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or spec-in sales targeting architecture firms, interior designers and developers in the building materials industry
• Strong existing network within the architect and interior design community in Singapore and/or Malaysia
• Proficiency in English and Chinese to communicate with regional counterparts and stakeholders

Required skills

• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings
• Familiarity with tender procedures

• Working location: Central; working hours Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
