Staff Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics

About the role

Flex is looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer based in Kallang, Singapore, to maintain quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organisation. The company is also spinning off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new independent company, Axiom, planned for Q1 2027; if the spin occurs, the role will support Axiom, which delivers power and thermal management solutions for AI data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Own projects from design and development concept through to production within defined requirements.
• Work across functional teams so that products meet specifications, cost targets and schedules.
• Make design concept decisions, including topology architecture, component selection, PCB layout, EMC and safety.
• Provide technology leadership and decide how to solve technical problems encountered during development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in power electronics or electrical, automation.
• 10 years of design experience in power supply design (telecom, server, OBC, etc.) and independent project design.
• Experience developing medium/high-power products from prototype to mass production.

Required skills

• Strong power electronics and power supply design knowledge, including topologies such as Boost, Totem-pole, LLC, flyback, forward and PSFB.
• Familiarity with AC/DC PSU EMC and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as MatchCAD, SIMetrix, PSIM and PADS.
