Staff Nurse – International SOS Medical Services

About the role

The Staff Nurse will join International SOS’s medical team to provide clinical care, emergency response and occupational health support at client project sites. The role involves direct patient management, equipment readiness and health‑safety monitoring in line with contractual commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat and follow‑up minor illnesses and injuries; deliver emergency and trauma care, including mass‑casualty management.
• Administer medications, perform basic life support, airway management and CPR.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of medical facilities, ambulances and equipment such as AEDs and ventilators.
• Monitor occupational health risks, hygiene standards and fitness‑for‑duty of personnel.
• Conduct first‑aid/CPR training and coordinate emergency drills and simulations.
• Perform patient assessments, manage evacuations, provide on‑site care (haemorrhage control, immobilisation, extrication) and keep accurate SOAPE medical records.
• Participate in developing a safe workplace and comply with all OH&S policies and reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a General Ward, Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
• Registered Nurse (SNB) with a valid BLS certification.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel, rotate and respond to short‑notice assignments.

Required skills

• BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
• CPR proficiency.
• AED operation.
• Ventilator operation.
• SOAPE documentation format.
