Staff/Principal Engineer, Product Engineering - HBM Reliability

About the role

Micron is looking for an experienced Staff/Principal Engineer for its High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Product Engineering team in Singapore. The role leads a high-performing team that drives reliability test development and execution for Micron's latest HBM products, including DRAM and interface dies and stacked products. It covers extrinsic DPM reduction, intrinsic reliability, manufacturing test flow optimization and process conversions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop reliability stress, test flows and test plans covering all product reliability aspects.
• Work with the Global Quality team to define the qualification plan, manage qualification execution and drive resolution of gating issues.
• Reduce extrinsic reliability (Time 0 and field DPM) and intrinsic reliability through optimized manufacturing test flows and test strategy, meeting quality, cost and cycle time KPIs.
• Debug and resolve qual and RMA device issues using electric failure analysis (EFA) and physical failure analysis (PFA).
• Advise fab teams on new process conversions to improve yield, quality, reliability and performance, and manage the associated risks with Product Managers.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement, including sharing AI-enabled enhancements within scope.
• Mentor team members, develop project management skills and make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization.
• Collaborate with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development and Quality/Reliability teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 6+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry; product engineering experience preferred.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, with deep circuit analysis and root cause understanding.
• Good knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools and scripting tools such as Python or JMP.
• Proven collaborative work across teams and strong communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for people leadership and ongoing learning.
• On-site work in Singapore with international travel to the US, Taiwan and Japan.
