Store Design Executive

About the role

The Store Design Executive will independently contribute to the design of new and refurbished retail stores, ensuring that layouts are practical, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with business objectives. This role works within a dynamic retail environment, translating brand vision into tangible store environments.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and design store layouts for new openings and refurbishments, balancing practicality, business needs, and aesthetics.
• Create detailed design development drawings for tender issuance and distribution to contractors.
• Design fixtures and equipment for ad‑hoc projects and roll‑outs.
• Conceptualise interior design concepts that align with the business vision and project goals.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, design proposals and 3D models/renderings to effectively communicate ideas.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to bring designs to completion through detailed design development and space planning.
• Attend site meetings, liaise with contractors and ensure designs are executed as intended and on schedule.
• Source and select materials, finishes, and furnishings that fit the design concept and budget.
• Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable design practices, and new products.

Required profile

• Diploma, Certificate or Bachelor degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 2‑3 years of experience designing commercial/retail projects.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous project experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple design projects.
