Strategy Director – Asia Pacific

About the role

The Strategy Director will lead the creation of insight‑driven communications strategies for clients across the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will combine research, critical thinking and interdisciplinary insight to solve complex challenges and strengthen the agency’s reputation in behaviour change and strategic communications.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of commercial and development sector best practices and regional socio‑cultural, political and economic contexts.
• Stay current on strategic theory, emerging platforms and technologies applicable to target geographies.
• Support day‑to‑day business activities, including client RFIs and new‑business strategies.
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure solutions are strategically sound and meet client objectives.
• Shape strategic output across the business and mentor other strategists and project staff.
• Integrate research and insight from psychology, behavioural science, business strategy, social sciences and semiotics.
• Develop and report on performance measures that track changes in knowledge, attitudes and behaviours.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering effective communications strategies.
• Strong understanding of brand and communications strategy fundamentals.
• Proven ability to introduce new practices, tools or techniques into daily operations.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to process large volumes of data and insights.
• Talent for translating complex problems into clear, actionable solutions, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working closely with creative teams to bring strategy to life.
