Supervisor, Manufacturing (Manufacturing & Assembly)

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring an onsite Manufacturing Supervisor in Bedok, Singapore. The supervisor leads a team of manufacturing technicians in a cell, ensuring production runs to specification, schedule and quality standards, and is responsible for CORE and EHS initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of manufacturing technicians so that production follows established specifications, schedules, volume, cost and wastage targets and quality standards.
• Lead and supervise technicians in the cell to meet product quality and customer delivery expectations, and manage daily output targets, efficiency and productivity.
• Determine overdue and current load positions, look 3 to 6 months ahead of demand trends, and set daily part scheduling and material release strategies.
• Ensure operator TPM compliance for optimum machine uptime.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate ongoing operational issues in the assigned area, and plan, direct, supervise and evaluate workflow.
• Manage technicians' discipline, attendance, safety and quality issues, coach and develop their skills, set job expectations and manage performance.
• Recognise and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency, and provide analysis and presentations to leadership when called upon.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical, manufacturing or aeronautical engineering.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Able to work bi-monthly rotating shifts.
• Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritising, coaching and process execution.
