System Analyst – Wholesale Banking Data Domain

About the role

We are seeking a highly capable System Analyst with deep expertise in Group Wholesale Banking and a strong techno‑functional background in the Data Domain. The role will drive strategic alignment, design data solutions, and bridge business needs with technology across financing, trade, cash management, and treasury products.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and decompose requirements across Wholesale Banking, Retail and Global Markets.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for data solutions.
• Design, validate and document data models such as Teradata FSDM, dimensional models and reporting tables.
• Perform data profiling, write SQL query scripts and conduct data validation testing.
• Map data attributes from core systems including Silver Lake Core Banking, FITAS Trade Finance, Murex Treasury and SAP GL.
• Produce functional specifications, solution designs and training manuals.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers and product teams to ensure solution delivery.
• Provide analytical insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst or System Analyst in banking.
• Strong knowledge of Wholesale Banking products, regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, fraud risk and related business operations.
• Proven ability to manage large volumes of information and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Teradata FSDM and dimensional modelling.
• SQL scripting and data profiling.
• Data validation and data modelling techniques.
• Experience with core banking systems: Silver Lake, FITAS, Murex, SAP GL.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality and metadata management.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and enterprise data platforms.
