Talent Lead

About the role

Atomionics is seeking a Talent Lead to drive the acquisition of ultra‑specialised talent for its quantum‑sensor and AI platform. This senior individual‑contributor role focuses on hunting, engaging and closing candidates who are not active in traditional talent pools.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct hyper‑niche sourcing using Boolean queries, Google Scholar, citation and conference attendee lists, and referral networks.
• Map the talent landscape across research institutions, national labs, defence contractors and niche engineering firms.
• Craft and deliver a compelling mission‑and‑equity narrative in partnership with the Chief of Staff to persuade candidates earning higher cash compensation.
• Partner with founders and technical leads to gain deep understanding of each role and communicate technical relevance to candidates.
• Establish long‑term sourcing infrastructure, including university relationships, community outreach and employer‑brand initiatives in collaboration with marketing.

Required profile

• Proven track record of sourcing and closing senior technical talent in highly specialised domains.
• Exceptional ability to understand candidate motivations and translate complex technical missions into attractive value propositions.
• Strong networking skills with research labs, defence and advanced engineering ecosystems.
• Self‑starter who thrives on low‑volume, high‑impact recruitment.
