Tax Manager – APAC Region

About the role

SpaceX is expanding Starlink across the Asia‑Pacific region and seeks an experienced Tax Manager to lead direct and indirect tax compliance, drive tax initiatives, and support audits for a portfolio of APAC entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance for a large APAC entity portfolio, including direct, indirect, VAT/GST, and withholding tax.
• Coordinate tax payments, prepare tax provisions for local and consolidated financial statements, and reconcile tax accounts.
• Lead tax audits, assess risks, and act as the subject‑matter expert for assigned entities.
• Oversee preparation of tax returns, work with external service providers, and maintain transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Research and resolve technical tax issues arising from transactions, product offerings, or audit processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (operations, legal, finance, treasury) to ensure compliance with local tax laws.
• Support new business and product launches by assessing tax implications and driving tax‑technology implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax.
• 10+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation.
• Prior experience at a Big 4 firm and/or multinational companies operating across multiple APAC countries.
• Proven track record in tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory, and tax controversy.
