Tax Manager – Asia Region

About the role

UCT is seeking a Tax Manager for its Asia region to lead tax compliance, reporting and strategic initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. The role sits at the intersection of tax, finance, legal and treasury, supporting the fast‑growing semiconductor business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, review and filing of corporate income tax and indirect tax returns for all Asia entities.
• Review quarterly and annual tax provision calculations under ASC 740 and ensure accurate accounting for withholding taxes on cross‑border payments.
• Manage tax audits, coordinate responses and maintain documentation.
• Implement and maintain robust tax processes, controls and documentation, including compliance with intercompany agreements and tax incentive programs.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance and M&A teams to assess tax impacts of business initiatives and transactions.
• Monitor legislative changes, including BEPS 2.0/Pillar Two, and advise on implications.
• Collaborate with IT to improve data quality, automate tax data flows and drive digital transformation within the tax function.
• Serve as liaison between tax operations and internal stakeholders, communicating complex tax concepts clearly.

Required profile

• 6‑8+ years of tax experience in a multinational corporation or accounting firm.
• Deep technical knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax and international tax regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage complex, cross‑functional workflows.
• Experience handling tax audits, provisions (ASC 740) and BEPS‑related compliance.
