Team Lead – Trade Finance & Lending Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage daily trade finance and lending operations for a leading commercial bank in Asia. You will guide a team, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily trade finance and loan operations, including transaction processing and document verification.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet agreed KPIs and SLAs.
• Oversee reconciliations, reporting, controls, and SOPs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Improve processes, support business projects, and provide guidance and training to team members.
• Report directly to the Head of Operations with regular updates on performance, issues, and activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in trade finance/loan operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products such as documentary credits, collections, and guarantees.
• Fluent English and Mandarin communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UCP, URC, URDG, ISP and ISBP rules.
• Familiarity with documentary credits, collections and guarantees.
