Tech Risk Manager

About the role

The Tech Risk Manager oversees the assessment and management of technology and AI-related risks within a professional services environment, supporting responsible technology adoption through effective governance, compliance and risk controls across all service lines. The client is a global professional services network helping organisations manage risk, compliance and technology innovation, operating across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Technology Risk Assessments, including scoping, risk identification, control evaluation and recommendations for remediation or acceptance
• Support the design, implementation and improvement of technology risk management processes, with a focus on AI governance
• Contribute to policies, standards, templates and guidance materials, and assess risks related to AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning and emerging technologies
• Lead or support reviews of AI-enabled solutions, covering use cases, data handling, model limitations and monitoring
• Translate AI principles and regulations into practical review and monitoring requirements
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and metrics for leadership and governance forums, and analyse risk trends to drive improvements
• Support automation of risk assessment and reporting, and assist with special projects, regulatory reviews and firm-wide risk initiatives

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology risk management, AI governance, IT risk, information security or related fields
• Working knowledge of AI and modern technology, including development, deployment and associated risks
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles and recognised frameworks, standards and regulatory developments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative, self-motivated and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
