Technical Officer – Nursing

About the role

The Technical Officer – Nursing provides essential support for the training facilities at ITE College East. This role ensures that laboratories and the simulation centre are safe, well‑maintained, and fully equipped for nursing education.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep school laboratories and the simulation centre, including equipment, tools, and consumables.
• Manage inventory of flammable and hazardous chemicals and ensure proper storage and documentation.
• Perform basic maintenance, servicing, and repairs of laboratory equipment and machines.
• Oversee day‑to‑day laboratory operations, including media preparation, chemical preparation, and equipment cleaning.
• Procure essential materials, tools, and equipment required for training sessions.
• Develop and follow a general maintenance schedule, tracking follow‑ups and compliance.
• Provide technical support to teaching staff for laboratory‑based activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience related to healthcare.
• Background in nursing or healthcare technology is advantageous.
• Meticulous administrative abilities, especially in handling procurement documentation.
• Good knowledge of safety regulations (SCDF, NEA, WSHA) and ISO/ Singapore standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience in data analytics and Power BI.
• Ability to create and manage maintenance schedules and process automation.
