Technical Service Engineer - Engine Overhaul

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, is hiring a Technical Service Engineer in Singapore. The engineer provides technical support to achieve engineering and quality excellence, mainly working on full and partial engine overhaul workscopes under the Fleet Management Program (FMP).

Key responsibilities

• Review and give engine workscope instructions to the shop for compliance with engineering data during engine shop visits.
• Review Modification Service Bulletins (SB) and share timely information with the shop when applicable.
• Analyze out-of-manual conditions and propose engineering solutions for engine part repair and overhaul.
• Liaise with the engine OEM, airline customers and aviation authorities on engine condition documentation and reporting.
• Address potential issues proactively and solve problems in real time.
• Communicate with customers on out-of-manual repair approval through the eCARS system.
• Propose engineering solutions that reduce engine turn time and shop visit costs.
• Coordinate with the OEM and subcontractors on engine investigations and repairs.
• Take part in continuous improvement projects and assist Engineering Management on special projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an aerospace MRO setting preferred but not mandatory.
• Able to interpret technical data, drawings and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM and CIR).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Team player who can also work independently, with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of SAP and Solumina preferred but not mandatory
