Technician (QC Inspector)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Technician (QC Inspector) to join its manufacturing services team at Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore. The role involves inspecting aircraft components and preparing inspection reports, working onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final visual and dimensional inspection on aircraft components.
• Inspect components and check conformance against technical drawings, work instructions and specification requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and interpret CMM and blue light inspection reports.
• Understand inspection tolerance specifications, limitations and procedures set by the manufacturer.
• Take part in audits and inspections as required.
• Comply with EHS regulations and policies and support continuous improvement and CORE activities.
• Learn new advanced technology and carry out other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2 years of relevant quality inspection experience.
• Familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, aids, equipment and tools used to assess airworthiness.
• Proficiency with inspection equipment and visual aids such as stylus, vernier caliper, shadowgraph and gap gun.
• Passes vision test (Jaeger #1 at 12 inches or better) and colour blindness test.
• Able to follow basic technical instructions, drawings and SOPs, meticulous and hands-on.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts and overtime as needed.

Preferred qualifications

• Aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
• Knowledge of CMM, NDT or SAP.
