Trainee Officer – Sustainable Banking (1‑Year Contract)

About the role

Join the Sustainable Investment Banking team at Credit Agricole CIB as a Trainee Officer. You will support senior bankers in structuring and executing sustainable finance transactions while deepening your expertise in ESG and climate‑focused financing.

Key responsibilities

• Structure sustainable debt transactions, frameworks and highly customised pitches with a focus on ESG materiality and climate scenario modelling.
• Own ESG market update materials and track the client pipeline.
• Create bespoke ESG dialogue materials using client disclosures, industry benchmarks (e.g., SBTi, TPI), taxonomies and KPI targets.
• Partner with business lines to execute originated mandates.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the sustainable finance market to reinforce CACIB’s market position.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sustainability, environmental science or a related field.
• 0‑1 years of relevant experience in ESG investment banking, debt capital markets, responsible investing or sustainability consulting.
• Strong motivation for ESG finance and a keen interest in market developments.
• Excellent attention to detail.
